Search engines like Google have very complex algorithms or calculation systems. The system of this algorithm requires certain criteria from a website page, so that the page can be ranked in search results.
Well, the SEO process is a set of activities to make a website meet these criteria. This is the difference between SEO and webspam, because what is done by webspam is not fulfilling these criteria; but falsifying the situation so that it appears that our website pages meet these criteria.
So what SEO does is things like, setting titles, content, images, and relevant interlinks, plus writing lots of unique content that is weighty for On-page SEO. While on the Off-page side, there can be lots of advertisements to gain popularity, recommend weighted content to replace broken links on a site, or promote content in relevant forums ...
Unlike webspam, which piles up keywords, or steals other people's content because they are lazy to write, or create a private blog network, or link building, or buy an expired domain, and there are many more ways to manipulate the situation.
